No Haiti this year...

So, I canceled the mission trip to Haiti. I am not sure why Haiti is less important than other things. It may be that it's something that is expensive as well as far away from the family...so, when it comes time to cross things off of lists, things like that are the low hanging fruit to me.

Here are the reasons why it's crossed off:
1. There's a high probability that Sandy's grandmother may be terminally ill.
2. Our income tax return was substantially lower than previous years.
3. We have a new job that we are trying to get established.
4. We have sold our house and will need to figure out where we need to go and build.
5. I have been a skeptic about how we would actually be helping in Haiti for some reason.

Well, I don't know that those are good enough reasons. But, it's canceled nonetheless. My poor, sweet wife considers me to blame for not going (as well as not adopting children)...then says, "it's ok". Yeah, I can see this snowballing.

Probably going to need prayers from those of you that pray.
