Sprained MCL!
Yep, I am flirting with professional level injuries! Actually, I was very relieved that it was only that. And, according to the sports med dude, that’s the best one to screw up. I’ll be back to 100% in 4-6 weeks. 100% of slow, out of shapeness. Does that really go together? I guess it does. I’ll be at 100% of the worst shape I have ever been in. Ouch.
Another thing I have noticed. I guess it has to do with age but in EVERY flag football game this year I walked away with a mild injury of some sort. The past 3 are:
1. Jammed finger that I received on catching a long bomb. The thing is here, I caught it correctly. It was just that my body is so NOT in shape that my finger decided that it would be hurt in the normal course of events.
2. Level 1 hamstring pull – as I got toasted by a lineman that released (yep, a lineman) I pulled up lame. It must have looked like I was one of those guys in pro ball where I pull up short grasping the back of my leg as I got totally violated by the opponent.
3. Sprained MCL…
Ok, It seems like they are getting steadily more serious, don’t they?
Well, I am not ready to give in to old age yet. I’ll suffer through this and remain young for a little longer.
